File this under somewhat random, but stay with me. I’ve been trying out Mood-lites the last couple of weeks. These colored light bulbs are designed to enhance your mood. Initially launched as porch lights, Mood-lites founder Kathryn Goetzke was intrigued with tweaking a commonly used product in a different way. These bulbs can be used to help encourage a mood. Or even in an artistic or festive way. They also make for great night lights at the mellow 25 watt power.
I’ve been a long-time by Terry fan. I am captivated by the fact that she developed the iconic YSL’s Touch d’Eclat before starting her own line. And I fell hard with the first of her products I tried, this beauty. Terry de Gunzburg Fragrances were somewhat of a surprise to me. I didn’t expect her to develop a perfume. But I knew she would do it incredibly well. I’ve been wearing all five scents over the past couple of weeks and honestly struggle to find a favorite. While some are heavier and some are fresher, I find them “season-less”. I didn’t go crazy layering and trying different combinations, but they are designed to be both worn alone and combined.
I’m pretty sure Hourglass Ambient Powders hit the beauty blogger / beauty editor world with an epic splash (don’t miss the review here). A little beauty blogger meet-up this last September in New York City (hi, Maree!) actually consisted of about 15 minutes of love for this revolutionary face powder / highlighter / bronzer / blush. I think we all issued a collective gasp when hourglass announced they were releasing a limited edition palette with two shades of their ambient powder along with a new limited edition Incandescent Light.
