Winter Travel on Belle Belle Beauty

I was on the road this week and wishing I had this outfit to copy for my airport days. But another note about this week’s trip: I went ahead and packed all full-sized toiletries for the first time in ages. It was a long trip so I figured I might as well be comfortable. I seriously can’t remember the last time I checked bags. But you know what? It was kinda worth it to feel at home. I can’t imagine doing it for a shorter trip but I will definitely consider it next time I am on a longer haul!

I’ve been wanting to try Christie Brinkley’s relatively new skin care line since it hit shelves. And now that I have my paws on this multi-tasker, I know Christie just gets me. This day cream does it all from anti-aging, to working against wrinkles and all while protecting against UV damage.

I’ve been applying this fresh smelling cream each AM. The texture is fairly rich so those with drier skin will love this. But at the same time, there is no heaviness and makeup goes on like a dream over it. And I particularly love that Christie Brinkley Skincare line is certified vegan and cruelty-free with 100% vegan formulations.

I made the decision to not post anything on the blog yesterday. Because of the attacks and violence in Paris, I chose to be quite on the internet other than support for our French bothers and sisters. Paris holds a very special place in my heart. I spent time studying there, growing there and becoming an adult there. There is no other city (including my former hometowns of San Francisco and Austin) that I feel more at home in. It is the quiet, the peace, the light and… of course… the beauty. It horrors me to see violence in such a special place. So yesterday, today and everyday… I stand with you Paris.

I am not one of those fanatical natural beauty fans. But lately I’ve noticed I am drawn to natural products. I just never thought deodorant would be one of them. I hate being stinky and frankly always thought natural deodorant wouldn’t work well. Now I am singing a different tune thanks to LAVANILA.

LAVANILA The Healthy Deodorant is 100% natural and super soothing to the sensitive under-arm area. Magically, this aluminum-free deodorant is really effective. It isn’t an antiperspirant but it does keep odor at bay. I am using the vanilla coconut scent which is subtle but slightly spicy/tropical.

The formula is free of mineral oil, silicone, dyes and synthetic fragrance. But it does contain Beta-Glucan Technology which works against bacteria and as an antioxidant.
