Dermalogica’s Precleanse

Dermalogica’s Precleanse on Belle Belle Beauty

Getting settled after one heck of a long trip. Excited to be cozy with the pups, but wanted to check in with an introduction – my hilarious and talented friend of DammitSuzanne.com (you’ll obvi love her blog). Today she is over here on Belle Belle sharing her thoughts on Dermalogica’s Precleanse! Take it away, Suzie:

This one goes out to all the ladies that like to put a dark eye on now and then.  Or the girls like me, who are blonde and fair and need black eyeliner and two coats of mascara to look like I’m awake.  Regardless, with dark eyeliner comes great difficulty in removal.  There are always two problems a girl has, (1) how to remove eye makeup gently, and (2) how to do it in the best, most efficient way.   Eye makeup remover works, and I’ll never dog it, but for me, it always feels greasy on my eyes afterwards, which is something I hate.  Enter Dermalogica’s Precleanse.   I started using this product about two months ago, and can’t get enough of it.  It removes my makeup, and when wiped away with tissue, leaves nothing but hydrated skin.  My preference is to use a cotton ball wet with warm water for my eyes, but it’s not necessary.  I admit I use it mainly for my eyes because I don’t wear a ton of makeup on the rest of my face, but the Precleanse works for the whole shebang.  Give it a try, you won’t regret it.  It’s changed my life almost as much as Broad City.

Road Warrior on Belle Belle Beauty

Sorry in advance for the brief post. I am a road warrior this week. So some in-transit finds from the internet:

Do you like funny? Then you’ll really like my dear friend Suzie.

I have to admit to being a little addicted to this quiz – I am a geography nerd.

Love this post about the greats in the blogging world and their humble beginnings.

This foundation finder from NARS is nothing less than brilliant.

Saddened that this iconic teen-favorite beauty brand is biting the dust.

Omorovicza Moor Mud – Free Samples & A Discount!

Omorovicza Moor Mud on Belle Belle Beauty

Such a special treat for you today – one of my all time favorite brands is offering something special to you guys, my dear readers. This is an amazing opportunity to try out the exclusive and luxury Omorovicza.

I’ve posted lots about this brand but for a refresher: Omorovicza a brand I discovered at Neiman Marcus years ago and it embodies true luxury. Omorovicza was founded in 2005 by Stephen and Margaret de Heinrich de Omorovicza. Founded upon the benefits of the thermal waters of Budapest, their formulas have transformative effects. The couple worked with the Hungarian Nobel winner laboratory to harness those benefits into a skincare line.

I have been testing out the Moor Mud range – many members are already part of my all-time favorites. The products I’ve been using are Thermal Cleansing Balm, The Deep Cleansing Mask and the Refining Facial Polisher. I mentioned the Thermal Cleansing Balm last week but as a recap: absolutely love the gel-like cleansing combined with the nourishing effects. The Deep Cleansing Mask (like other mud masks) is what I rely on to unclog my pores. And the Refining Facial Polisher (new to me) was gentle enough on my redness-prone skin, but effective at ridding my face of dead skin cells and returning a radiance.

So now here is the real cake: you, dear readers, get to take advantage of a sampling campaign – you will receive the 3 moor mud samples just by submitting your name and shipping address on this site:

(I was having some trouble with the site redirecting so please cut and paste the URL above). Bonus, you also get 20% off their first purchase on Omorovicza.com.

Samples generously provided by Omorovicza. As always, opinions are my own.

January Favorites and The End of My Favorite TV Show

Parenthood on Belle Belle Beauty

Anyone else celebrating (crying) with me tonight as the TV show Parenthood ends? I honestly think it is the smartest show on television – lovely actors, usually amazing story lines and “that hit home” moments. I will always love the Bravermans.

In honor of that milestone, I thought I would share my skin care routine along with my January favorites today. I am leaving town for a long stretch in a short bit and am a bit distraught about being away from my skin care goodies. I thought maybe sharing my current favorites would help me narrow down the lineup for the trip.

I have no idea how 10 years ago (in my twenties) I could muster a carry on for six weeks in Europe in seven different climates. These days, 7 days in two American cities just undoes me.

And my January favorites:

Slouchy & Refined on Belle Belle Beauty

We made it! Home stretch of the week. Although I can say I have loved this little burst of warm air down here in Tulsa since everyone is complaining back East. I drove home with my windows down (it was 80 today). That’s not to say I am not wanting at least one good storm this winter. And we need it – dry as a bone. Meanwhile, I am working towards this slouchy but polished look above – I keep grabbing my wide-leg work pants lately!

Some finds from around the web – lots of links this week!:

Having major closet aspirations right now. This post by Lauren, has gotten me started. And yes, I purchased the book.

I just purchased these boots – I know I will only get to wear them for another couple weeks here in Tulsa – but I am trying to shop in the full swing of sales!

Absolutely adore my dear friend’s mani.

Beautiful post about life that is worth living.

Speaking of “off season” shopping, I just got this coat for an upcoming trip (snagged mine in all black) – major steals if you need a cute coat ALERT.

Desperately searching for somewhat reasonable layering tanks and tees – I have loved Vince and T by Alexander Wang but need something I can afford to stock up on. Any ideas? Comment here or hit me up on FB or Twitter if you have any brilliant ideas.

Loving this “new to me” clothing line!

Agave Smoothing Shampoo & Conditioner

Agave Smoothing Shampoo & Conditioner on Belle Belle Beauty

I am always a little fearful of “smoothing” when it comes to hair products as I often find my fine hair limp and lifeless. But my fine hair also has the lovely quality of being slightly frizzy, so I do like the idea of some control. Agave Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner happened to walk that line for those of you who share my hair type.

I don’t use a ton of product on my longer hair, but I do get some build-up now that I am waiting a good 2-3 days between washes and loving the dry shampoo. This formula washes away debris but without leaving my hair stripped. While I am not militant about it, I do think sulfate-free shampoos are kinder to my hair (and help preserve my new demi-permanent, grey-covering hair color).

Both the shampoo and conditioner are infused with agave plant sugars to also help preserve color. The ingredient helps smooth with emollients. I was able to snag travel size (available at Sephora) and they certainly will be coming along with me on an upcoming trip.

PS – you can also find this brand at birchbox.com.
