FLOWER Body Mists

FLOWER Body Mists on Belle Belle Beauty

I certainly don’t shy away from drugstore beauty. In fact, trolling the aisles of CVS is a pure joy to me. But one of my favorite budget beauty buys is actually from Wal-Mart. Drew Barrymore’s FLOWER Beauty has consistently surprised me with quality.

Her latest foray is in to the bath and body department with four unique Body Mists. I have been reaching for these during pool days or post workout. The four scents are inspired by her fragrances (which I also love). The four options:

Cherished – Comforting and nuzzly floral, captured in a hug of skin musks and powdery notes that surrounds you like a soft cashmere blanket.

  • TOP NOTES:  Morning Dew Accord, Sparkling Cassis, Italian Lemon Blossom
  • MID NOTES:  Iris Petals, Cabbage Rose, Springtime Lily of the Valley
  • BASE NOTES:  Tahitian Vanilla, Clean Cotton Musk, Creamy Sandalwood

Radiant – Striking and confident sparkling floral blooming with dewy greens and freshness.

  • TOP NOTES: Dewy Greens, Sparkling Italian Bergamot, Watery Calone
  • MID NOTES: Cabbage Rose, Pink Peony, Magnolia
  • BASE NOTES: Crystalline Musks, Pink Amber, Blonde Woods

Sultry – Sensual oriental floral that wraps you in a seductive trail of creamy florals, alluring spices and sultry vanilla woods.

  • TOP NOTES: Purple Plum, Cranberry Cocktail, Pink Pepper
  • MID NOTES: Night Blooming Jasmine, Cashmeran, Juicy Blackberries
  • BASE NOTES: Patchouli, Madagascar Vanilla, Sultry Musks

Sparkling Garden – Infused with succulent fruits and an effervescent sparkle for a touch of “happy each day”

  • TOP NOTES:  Frosted Cranberry, Candied Citrus, Iced Pink Peppercorn, Sparkling Pink Champagne
  • MID NOTES:  Raspberry Nectar, Snow White Peony, Pear Blossom
  • BASE NOTES:  Precious Woods, Vanilla Bean, Golden Amber, Cozy Skin Musk

My favorite is the musky Cherish, but Sparkling Green truly is uplifting and I also enjoy the woody, fresh scent. Sold individually for $8.97, Available at Walmart and Walmart.com.

Urban Decay NAKED Smoky

Urban Decay NAKED Smoky on Belle Belle Beauty

NAKED Smokey has been on shelves for a while now, but I would be remiss not to note this addition to the NAKED collection from Urban Decay. These palettes have been legendary. And I admit to owning all but the newest one. For some reason, this iteration hasn’t tempted me. But now after learning what I am about to share with you, I might just have to pick one up.

One reason I wasn’t initially drawn to Smokey is that I generally prefer lighter shades of eyeshadows. But this palette contains such rich bronzes, greys and taupes that it might add to a collection. Plus, the blacks would make wonderful eyeliners – how I use the darker shades in other NAKED palettes. The shades:

Also included are high-quality Urban Decay brushes. The double-ended brush has a Tapered Crease Brush to lay down shadow and Smoky Smudger Brush, perfect for tight-lining.

Dream Beach on Belle Belle Beauty

I’ve had some frustration with my skin this summer and it is mostly my bad habits to blame. I’ve spent quite a bit of time in the sun, enjoying my building’s pool. While I am (mostly) good about sunscreen on my face, I have had some redness and clogged pores pop up. Thanks to Frank Body’s new skin care line, my skin is back to looking relatively even again. I am also going to credit one the line’s key ingredients: charcoal. This currently buzzy ingredient cleans my pores, but doesn’t dry or irritate my skin. If you want a drugstore version with the ingredient, make sure to check out some of the fabulous Bioré products.

On that happy note, a couple finds from around the web from this past week:

Helpful expiration dates for kitchen and beauty products.

New items have been added to the Shopbop sale including loads of summer basics!

Fellow Instagram fans will want to see this news – it isn’t just squares anymore.

Drooling over the new Elizabeth and James Nirvana Dry Shampoo.

Totally approve of this foundation, highlighter and contour tutorial.

I get the most compliments on the workwear I’ve picked up from LOFT. They have an extra 40% off sale items and buy one, get one free on tops and sweaters.

Frank Body Skin Care

Frank Body Skin Care on Belle Belle Beauty

A much loved social media darling, Frank Body, has recently released a line of skin care inspired by their caffeinated body scrub. Each product in the line is formulated with ingredients to treat acne. But not just that – the formula is also designed to fight something I am currently up against: eczema and psoriasis.

Starting with the Creamy Face Cleanser, green coffee extract helps fight free radicals, rejuvenate skin and increase blood flow. Charcoal works to detoxify. The Creamy Face Scrub is gentle but still really gets after that flaky skin. The coffee grind is surprisingly gentle on my sensitive skin. And the oils (grape seed, almond and coconut) work to nourish.

The Face Moisturizer might be my favorite of the bunch. The texture is light and refreshing. Working with green coffee extract, vitamin E, cocoa butter and shea butter, this hydrates without blocking pores.

A side note: you must love the smell of coffee to appreciate this skin care line. Surprisingly, I love the scent but not the drink so the invigorating experience in the AM now serves as my daily Cup of Joe.

Soap & Paper Factory Farmacie Moisturizing Hand Cream

Soap & Paper Factory Farmacie Moisturizing Hand Cream on Belle Belle Beauty

I’ve always been intrigued with Soap & Paper products – can the brand name be any cooler? It just sounds like it would look fabulous on my vanity. I have finally had a chance to try out a couple products and they do not disappoint. The vintage packaging and all-natural scents are a joy to use.

This all-natural hand cream has luscious shea butter and nourishing oils. I’ve been trying out Marigold Calendula which has cyclamen, peony and ylang-ylang. I love the cozy herbal feel with just a hint of fresh floral. The hand cream also comes in Lavender and Red Rose Saffron. I can’t wait to pick up Lavender to keep by my bed.

Available at Birchbox.
