Mountain Ocean Skin Trip Moisturizer

Mountain Ocean Skin Trip Moisturizer on Belle Belle Beauty

This week is nuts! I think the moment school starts again, the whole world speeds up a little bit. So apologies for the quick post. Just wanted to share my favorite late-summer body lotion with you today. If you’re like me, you didn’t have a chance to get to a beach this summer. But Mountain Ocean Skin Trip Moisturizer will (kinda) get you there.

The formula is powered with coconut oil and aloe vera – something I always associate with childhood days in the sand. But you don’t get any of that greasy feeling like when using pure coconut oil. The lotion is super fast absorbing but still manages to pack a moisture punch. The scent is subtle enough that you don’t smell like Spring Break at work – but more like a breath of fresh, tropical air.

Available at Amazon.

NARS Audacious Mascara

NARS Audacious Mascara on Belle Belle Beauty

Much like the Audacious Lipsticks, NARS’ Audacious Mascara has made quite an impression on me. I’ve been in a bit of a mascara rut lately, loving (but stuck on) this one. So when NARS launched their first mascara in a while, I was jumping to try it out.

Audacious is designed for definition and length in my opinion. The unique brush is designed with 200 molded (plastic) bristles. Some people feel strongly about traditional brushes, but I happen to love the plastic variety as I get fewer clumps. Each bristle has lengthening hooks. The tapered tip is perfect for inner and outer lashes.

The mascara is incredibly light-weight, making it long-wearing. I get every-so-slight fall out but not until after a twelve hour day. And this mascara could come with one warning – the bristles are so stiff and long I have poked my eye once or twice. But this is likely attributed to my poor morning hour coordination than anything else. Just take care (and your time) using Audacious Mascara.

Available now at NARScosmetics.com.

Wednesday On The Web

Last of the Summer Glow on Belle Belle Beauty

Well, I seem to have gotten a little off kilter on the posting schedule – so sorry about that! Like I mentioned yesterday, my old computer finally just slowed down too much. Now that I am geared up again, I will be back on the regular.

Today in Tulsa we aren’t expected to break 70 degrees – where did THAT cold front come from? While I welcome it and see the beginnings of fall. The chill will make me appreciate the last couple pool days in the weeks ahead.

This weekend I am celebrating a 70th birthday and getting loads of sleep. Oh and playing on my new computer toy.

Some finds from around the web:

I have my eyes on these Pot Rouges from Bobbi Brown!

Love Julia’s half-bun – might have to try this myself this weekend.

I am a huge candle fan, but this reed diffuser round up has me singing a different tune.

I do love my wine, although haven’t had much rosé this summer. This little history on its (a little annoying) rise in popularity can be found here.

Shopbop’s handbag sale ends today – find my picks and details here.

Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Cream SPF 30

Kiehl's Super Multi-Corrective Cream SPF 30 on Belle Belle Beauty

Sorry for the sporadic posting! My poor old seven year old MacBook just finally bit the dust – RIP. But I am happy to report that I am posting from my brand new, sleek MacBook Air. I love the portability. And the graphics are amazing. There are upsides to putting off an upgrade for long than usual. So pleased with the performance on this new guy!

But back to skin care – today I am happy to share with you guys a multi-tasker that will make your routine a breeze as the summer closes. The newest of the Super Multi-Corrective line at Keihl’s is a cream with SPF but also happens to be a great multi-tasker. Love that for rushed mornings. This isn’t just a moisturizer.

The formula works to correct skin with lifting, firming, sculpting and smoothing. I apply after my serum as a last step before makeup. The texture is relatively thick, but I like that it absorbs well. And I know I will need the added moisture as the temps cool.

Made in the USA. Available at Kiehls.com, and Nordstrom.

Shopbop Handbag Sale

Shopbop Handbag Sale on Belle Belle Beauty

Meant to share this with you yesterday! Don’t miss Shopbop’s handbag sale – perfect for stocking up on a new fall bag. 20% off classic bags with code INTHEBAG through tomorrow at midnight. Some of my favorites:

By Terry Eyebrow Mascara Tint Brush Fix-Up Gel

By Terry Eyebrow Mascara Tint Brush Fix-Up Gel on Belle Belle Beauty

Brows are having a moment. And a complement on brows has become something special – a true endorsement of how to rock a full eyebrows. Mine have always been on the fuller side, but a little sparse thanks to a buggy thyroid. So when pencils became en vogue, I happily starting filling. But I didn’t care for the dual process of needing a clear gel after to tame and groom.

I’ve tried the MAC tinted brow gel before and liked it… but just liked it. Thanks to my friend’s generous complement the other day – and just a general satisfaction of using just one step – I am happy to report that I love the By Terry Eyebrow Mascara Tint Brush Fix-Up Gel.

The Gel is housed in a sort of tiny, mini mascara tube with an ultra-thin brustled wand. Each coat not only fills in gaps without getting too messy. But it also deposits ingredients to nourish and promote growth. Something I appreciate thanks for the “little sparse” status quo.

I’ve been wearing Medium Ash but likely will pick up the Dark Brown next time. For those with fairer brows, Highlight Blond is also an option. Available at NET-A-PORTER.
