The Best Dry Shampoos On FOX23's Great Day Green Country on Belle Belle Beauty

I absolutely love getting a professional blow out (more on my new favorite place in Tulsa tomorrow on the blog)… to the point that it almost pains me to have to wash out all that beauty. But thanks to a huge influx of amazing dry shampoos lately, we have tons of options to eek out a couple extra days of the perfect style. This morning, I’ll be back on FOX23’s Great Day Green Country chatting about my five current favorite dry shampoos (see segment below).

First up, a little tip on using dry shampoo. For what seems like forever, I sprayed on roots expecting instant revitalization. This is not so. Hold spray 10 inches away from hair. Apply to three different parts (I do left, right and center) from above the head. And then wait five minutes. Don’t touch, don’t brush, don’t fuss. Then use a brush to disperse product. This will allow for oil absorption and give you cleaner-than-ever second day hair. And now only to the favorites:

Kérastase Powder Bluff is my current luxe favorite. Don’t expect any white residue (actually with any of theses selections). My hair stays soft and touchable but with body. If you have color treated hair, you’ll love the UV filter. And this works particularly well in the summer with its anti-frizz and humidity protection.

Oscar Blandi might be the king of dry shampoos. While I haven’t found a formula I don’t like, the Oscar Blandi Pronto Invisible Voluminzing Dry Shampoo Spray has been a true savior to amp up flat hair. The clear formula works to absorb oil while boosting volume. Vitamin E works to strengthen hair and the Lemon Verbena scent isn’t cloying or overly artificial.

Herbal Essences NAKED Dry Shampoo is a brand new drugstore option that is simplicity at its best – paraben, silicon and dye-free. The lightweight texture leaves hair feeling ultra-freshened. Tapioca absorbs oil and leaves strands with a citrus and mint scent. Made in USA.

I discovered Klorane Extra-Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk back in 1999 in Paris and it has been a favorite ever since. This formula is particularly good at being weightless as if it almost disappears into my hair. I even reach for this to spray on clean hair to amp a little volume knowing it won’t cause too much build up. This formula is paraben and sulfate free.

Suave Professionals Keratin Infusion Dry Shampoo Spray was my first drugstore dry shampoo to fall for. The new Keratin formula smooths strands while absorbing oils. This selection works best to revive styles that are on the sleeker side. Expect rave reviews on how great your hair smells. Made in USA.
