I had these grand plans to do a fabulous 1000th post. I had it written in my calendar and a note on my desk. Then… you know what happened? I blew right past it. Story of my week. So, with this post, I’d like to celebrate my 1001st post! Can you believe it? That’s a lot of blogging. To celebrate, I’d like to share this stunning pic of Felicity Jones – I can’t seem to get over those bangs. I am seriously itching for a hair change – I might have almost run out for an at-home ombre hair color kit today. But I resisted. I might just make it happen tomorrow.

On a personal note, I am glad to hit this milestone this week. And TGTF – Thank God Tomorrow is Friday. Let’s turn the corner. I am sick of hearing about how my beloved Broncos blew it on Sunday. February Love

February hasn’t been my favorite month in past years. It is cold and not terribly festive. And I am not sure I love Valentine’s Day, especially being single. But I am a little more optimistic this year. I’m one of those crazy people who loves the snow and Tulsa is getting a wallop this week. Miranda Kerr is The New Face (and Hair) For CLEAR SCALP & HAIR

When it comes to hair, I will always be behind treating strands and the scalp. That is exactly the approach that drugstore brand CLEAR SCALP & HAIR takes with their line of shampoos, conditioners and styling products. This week, they announced that the beautiful Miranda Kerr will be replacing Heidi Klum as spokesperson.

You have to admit, she does have a great head of hair (and impeccable style to match). Olivia Wilde at the Golden Globes

Olivia Wilde took home my award for favorite hair at last night’s Golden Globes. It also doesn’t hurt that her baby bump is pretty darn adorable. Lona Vigi created the look with Oscar Blandi goodies. She was inspired by the star’s natural beauty and wanted to juxtapose her sleek Gucci dress. The sideswept waves were not too “overdone” but rather “sexy” and “effortless”.

First, Lona prepped wet hair using Oscar Blandi Jasmine Oil Serum on the ends for shine and Oscar Blandi Lacca Hairspray on the roots for body and “staying power”. Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Heat Protect Spray was used to protect locks.

A round brush was used to blow dry hair. After drying, Lona used Oscar Blandi Pronto Texture & Volume Spray all over and then curled it using two different barrel sizes (¾ to 1½ inches). Repeat all over for more texture (I can’t wait to try this!).

To finish, she used Oscar Blandi Pronto Invisible Spray to add shine and absorb product residue. Oscar Blandi Lacca Hairspray provided hold for the night.

Am I the only one who was thrown by Pantone’s announcement that Radiant Orchid is the color of the year for 2014? I have nothing against purple, but I am still trying to come to terms with this ultra-feminine shade. Seeing this image inspired me to embrace the trend.
