Hope everyone is having a perfect pre-Holiday week. I am laying majorly low after all the birthday celebrations, taking a stay-cation of sorts. I have been chowing down on all the amazing summer produce (you know how I love beauty from the inside out!) and planning a fun menu for friends on Friday afternoon. While I haven’t been trolling the web a ton, I did have some favorites to share:

Catching Up

Whoa blog break! Sorry for the absence. I was well-intentioned last Thursday, purchasing wi-fi on my flight out to Napa to celebrate the big 3-5. Unfortunately, it was slow as molasses. Oh well. I’ll be back tomorrow with regular posts and a TV round up on Wednesday. (Attention those who struggle with acne – you won’t want to miss it.)

Meanwhile, I’ll be basking in the glow of amazing wine and produce I had the last couple days in California in my favorite spot in the whole world. And the party will likely continue next week as I will share festivities with my almost birthday twin, C.

Wednesday On The Web

As I mentioned yesterday, I spent last weekend with my best friends from high school in Aspen. I was a little worried about the off season crowd (or lack thereof) and weather, but it turned out to be ideal. We stayed at the Limelight which was hip, cool and cozy all at once. The staff (and basically everyone in Aspen) was super friendly. I enjoyed the walk-ability of the town, amazing food, beautiful stores, hikes and bikes and most importantly laughter and time with old friends.

One of my friends on the trip is a former makeup artist and she did another friend’s makeup one evening. The glowy result was just perfect – Erica looked radiant. Already hooked on a golden glow, I want to take it to the next level and try this golden eyeliner look. Perhaps for an upcoming girls’ night out?

Mother’s Day Beauty Gifts on FOX23’s Great Day Green Country

Well, I know many of you are beauty junkies but do you have a Mother who shares your passion? I’ll be on FOX23’s Great Day Green Country again this morning chatting all about Mother’s Day Beauty Gift ideas that will thrill the one who fostered your very own love of makeup and skincare:

First up is the new fragrance from Sofia Vergara, Sofia. This is especially perfect if your mother is also a celebrity fan. And I am smitten. These nudes can accomplish virtually any look. The handy packaging which includes a dual sided brush is perfect for the mother on-the-go.

Okay, I know it sounds a little weird to give your mother a foundation. But this breakthrough formula is so exciting that any beauty junkie would love to have it on their vanity. bareMinerals Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation is both a tone-correcting liquid mineral foundation and a skincare serum in one. The ultra-thin texture actually has fabulous coverage.
