New SimpleSkincare.com Site!

New SimpleSkincare.com Site! // Belle Belle Beauty

Well, look who got a makeover! Simple Skincare launched a new website last week and I’ve just now had a chance to swing by and check it out. While they are still rolling out features, I am particularly smitten with the recipe finder. A member of the Simple Skincare Advisory Board, Ellie Krieger offers foods that can help skin look better from the inside out.

On my radar to try out stat are the crab cakes. This recipe includes bell peppers, which are a great source of Vitamin C, and crab (a Belle Favorite), which is a great source of selenium, an antioxidant mineral that helps protect the skin from sun damage and helps to maintain skin firmness and elasticity. Yum!

She offers loads of other tips specific to skin concerns. For instance, if you have dry skin, try eating more nuts and seeds, oil-rich fish like salmon, avocado and healthy oils like olive oil. Make sure to pop over to SimpleSkincare.com and check out all the new goodness!

BSB Culminé Glow & Go Tinted Moisturizing Sunscreen

BSB Culminé Glow & Go Tinted Moisturizing Sunscreen // Belle Belle Beauty

There is nothing like discovering a little “under the radar” product that just blows your mind. Especially since it is exactly what you are looking for, given the season.

Due to long weekend days at the pool, I have a little more color than usual. And freckles… I have given up covering them up, but still want something to even my skin and give me needed protection. This new sunscreen from Bella Schneider is just the ticket. SPF 30? Check. Hydration? Check. Anti-aging ingredients? Check!

Antioxidants work to prevent appearance of fine lines and pigmentation while the formula has a beautiful and sheer glow. You could also use this as a primer if you wanted more coverage, but I like rocking the nude and radiant finish. Don’t mistake this for a BB Cream. It doesn’t have a huge amount of coverage (although more than the Urban Decay and less than the Omorovicza). I’d say coverage lands closest to Dr. Jart but with a much more dewy effect.

Summer Lotions on FOX 23 Great Day Green Country

Summer Lotions on FOX 23 Great Day Green Country // Belle Belle Beauty
During these hot summer months, I hydration needs shift a bit. These days, I’ve been looking for fresh, light scents, after sun care and lightweight moisture. Here are my top favorites I am highlighting this morning on Great Day Green Country!:
Hampton Sun Continuous Mist Hydrating Aloe is for those days when you just got too much sun. Even though I am a SPF fanatic, I know it happens to all of us. The refreshing spray has powerful aloe and antioxidant vitamin E along with menthol to calm and moisturize skin.
Mario Badescu Summer Shine Body Lotion adds just enough shine for those legs in a summer cocktail dress, making skin look radiant and healthy. Beeswax, peanut oil and vitamin A help moisturize skin without leaving it greasy.
Josie Maran Whipped Argan Oil  Body Butter is a natural, luxurious cream with a slight sitrus scent. The super charged Argan Oil is supremely nourishing for when you are really aching for some moisture.
Mustela After Sun Spray, originally a line developed for infants and children, has the gentlest and most soothing formula for sun parched skin. I love the spray dispenser and straightforward formula.

Bliss Blood Orange+White Pepper Body Butter Maximum Moisture Cream has long been a favorites, particularly for the bright and cheerful scent (blood orange and spicy white pepper top notes with nuances of coriander and white musk). The rich formula absorbs quickly and leaves skin nourished.

Nutrisystem Week 32

Nutrisystem Week 32 // Belle Belle Beauty

This week, I lost 2.6 pounds for a total weight loss of 36.2 pounds. Whoa! Where did that come from? After talking to the counselors last week and making changes they suggested, clearly it is making a difference! I am so thrilled to have this great breakthrough after a slow couple of weeks. And I am actually even more confident that I will be down the full 45 pounds before my big trip at the end of July.

I’ve been adding more snacks with protein and carbs into my diet and I think it is helping me fuel even more efficient workouts. I also seem to have more energy. A new favorite snack is apples with a bit of peanut butter – carbs and protein in one! Who knew adding more food would help speed weight loss? Just another reminder that food is fuel and eating the right things and portions is the key!

Check out last week’s Nutrisystem post here.

Belle Belle In Neiman Marcus’ July Beauty Cue

Screen Shot 2013-07-03 at 12.28.37 PM

I can remember popping into Neiman Marcus in Dallas way back in my pre-teen years. I was always awed by the gorgeous beauty level, truly a product junkie from the very beginning. So, you can imagine that 20 years later, to be featured in their email beauty blast for the fourth time is a bit of a pinch me moment. This month, I’m giving some tips on contouring – it isn’t as hard as you think! Enjoy and check out the full issue here.
