MAKE UP FOR EVER Aqua Eyes

I can never find eyeliner that will stay put for me so might as well try one originally designed for for performers of water ballet!  Hallelujah!  Finally something will stay on me longer than two hours.  I put it on as soon as I got home from the store and spent the afternoon anxiously taking a peek every so often.  It was still on!  Granted, it didn’t stay on the waterline but it did make it through on the top lid.  I got Matte Black but not I am tempted to go back and get a couple more colors like Pearly Brown 2L (golden brown sheen) and Star Black 1L (black sheen).

Voluminous Million Lashes Black

I love trying out drugstore mascaras.  I usually come away disappointed, but I just can’t help myself.  When I saw Eva Longoria talking about “millionizing” lashes, I chuckled…. what a silly word.  And proceeded directly to my drugstore and purchased Voluminous Million Lashes in Black.  So, I guess dumb marketing still works, at least on me.  Once I studied the product a little more, I was excited to see how this multiplication of lashes worked.  My lashes are long but not full, so I could be in for a treat.  And I was.  I didn’t get big think clumpy lashes. But I don’t really go for that look. That’s probably why I also like d.j.v. beautenizer Fiberwig LX. My lashes were long and looked more numerous and fuller, just not thicker. It was a clean look without being overly dramatic.  As silly as the commercial is, I highly recommend.

LORAC Perfectly Lit Oil-Free Luminizing Powder

Okay, I admit when I saw this product, I thought it was eyeshadow!  Because I tend to only use a base eyeshadow and great liner, I went ahead and put the Spotlight shade all over my lids.  To my glee, it look fabulous!  It actually stayed on the whole night and I got compliments from my friends on my eye makeup.  But next time around, I did use the product as directed. It did brighten and even my complexion, and the result was a shimmery glow.  I would use it, in this way, for special occasions.  My fortunate accident, although, led me to a new favorite “eyeshadow”.

d.j.v. beautenizer Fiberwig LX

Leave it to the Japanese to come up with a mascara unlike any other.  d.j.v. beautenizer Fiberwig LX boasts an ability to replicate false eyelashes and I purchased this product for that effect.  I have come to love this stuff but not because it makes me look like I am wearing falsies.  I am not sure it “replicates the illusion of false eyelashes” – which might be is a good thing.  My lashes come out lightweight, natural and clean.  There is absolutely no budging of this stuff all day long.  You can layer coat after coat (not sure if you are supposed to do this, but I do anyway) and lashes never get clumpy.  I know there is lots of buzz about Dior and Maybelline, but for now, this is my go-to mascara.
