Anastasia Beverly Hills ‘Hypercolor’ Brow Gel & Mascara

Colored mascaras are everywhere for summer. But these aren’t just another variation – these guys from Anastasia are bold. If you want color to be noticed, Hypercolor is your cup of tea. Anastasia Beverly Hills ‘Hypercolor’ Brow Gel & Mascara comes in three shades: Electric Blue, Ultra Violet and In The Pink.

My good friend and I wore these out for brunch last weekend – she chose pink, I wore blue. And I can’t tell you how much fun we had with the surprising use of color. I loved how the blue accentuated the green in my eyes. And her light green eyes popped even more with a touch of pink.

Originally designed for brows, I actually prefer it as a curling mascara. I don’t think my group of friends is quite ready for purple eye brows. That’s not to say I don’t think it could potentially look really cool.

The intensely pigmented formula dries quickly. As a second step, use the Mini Lash Genius Clear Waterproof Topcoat to instantly set and waterproof your lashes. While it was still on my lashes the next day (I didn’t use eye makeup remover – just washed my face), the pigment isn’t hard to remove.

Flower Lash Knockout Volumizing Mascara in Brown has been my daytime mascara pick for the last couple of weeks. I am liking the softer look of brown, but still with some pretty serious fullness. The formula contains Red Seaweed to strengthen and protect lashes. Enriched with Vitamins C & E for antioxidant protection. And the brush is a gentle fluffy style that doesn’t pull or tug on my lashes.

L’Oreal Advanced Haircare Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm was on the blog last week, but I felt it deserved a revisit. With some additional uses, I’ve found this mask is particularly transformative. My hair is super soft and bouncy. But the biggest plus, it makes for a great treatment after a day at the pool or lake. I’m certainly keeping this on hand as my hair gets put through the ringer during summer playtime.

Skintimate Signature Scents Moisturizing Shave Cream in Raspberry Rain takes me right back to high school when I was so religious about using shaving cream. It really does make a difference, I’ve discovered, especially in the summer. Vitamin E & Olive Butter along with 10 other moisturizers leave skin smooth and soft. Limited Edition Schick Hydro Silk Razor is giving me an insanely close shave and not one cut yet (knockonwood). Spring has me craving pastels. I love the look of a light feminine face as we welcome the warmer weather. It is also a great time to experiment with lighter versions of bold shades like mint green eyeshadow – surprisingly beautiful! Here are my picks for some of the Easter egg inspired shades:

Laura Mercier Crème Cheek Color in Oleander is the softest sweetest pink and this cream formula applies like a breeze.

Guerlain ‘Maxi Shine – Gloss d’Enfer’ Lip Gloss has insane shine, giving this pretty pink an even bigger impact.
