Urban Decay Cosmetics The Ultimate Pair

Urban Decay Cosmetics The Ultimate Pair

This post is a follow up regarding ULTA‘s twice yearly 21 Days of Beauty ending this weekend. Head out there and shop!

I have been through a whole swath of red lipsticks. And while I prefer a neutral lip, if I do reach for a red Urban Decay F-Bomb would be right there at the top of my list. That’s why I am hoarding this duo despite my occasional bold lip. It is that good.

The full size F-Bomb Revolution Lipstick is paired with a creamy and waterproof liner. They are literally perfect shade matches. The pigment of both is insanely long-wearing. And the blue/cool hue makes your smile bright and white. So if you need an excuse to take advantage of ULTA’s event (more about that below), here is a last chance idea!

Each day through 4/4, ULTA will feature a “Beauty Steal” and a “Beauty Focus Day” – Beauty Steals are special offers on top beauty products & Beauty Focus Days feature demonstrations like customized makeup lessons, expert beauty tips, and one-on-one appointments. 21 Days of Beauty brands include Stila, Urban Decay, IT Cosmetics, Bare Minerals, Benefit, Too Faced and more. This beauty extravaganza is celebrated in all ULTA Beauty stores nationwide with special offers also available here.

To celebrate, I’ve teamed up with ULTA for a huge giveaway! The exclusive ULTA beauty prize pack includes kits from brands like Urban Decay, LORAC, bareMinerals, stila, Becca and more. Enter using the widget below (sorry again international friends, US Only).

Bliss Fabulous Makeup Melt Gel-To-Oil Cleanser

Bliss Fabulous Makeup Melt Gel-To-Oil Cleanser on Belle Belle Beauty

Dual cleansing, Korean skin care rituals, and makeup free skin all seem to hum around the beauty world these days. I’ve been wearing less makeup during the week. And I have been trying to shed my habit of only using makeup wipes every couple of nights. Frankly, this bliss cleanser was the answer to all I was looking for in my new routine while hitting the current beauty buzz.

Bliss Fabulous Makeup Melt Gel-To-Oil Cleanser dispenses as a gel but transforms to an oil on my skin. Just massage it into dry skin and when you rinse, it becomes a cleansing oil that removes makeup and debris all while leaving skin soft and clean.

A longtime favorite, bliss is always innovating in a spa context. Probably why they integrate oils so well into their formulas. This makeup remover uses seven: tamanu, mirabelle plum seed, abyssinica seed, olive, orange, lavender, and sage. These oils leave skin nourished and calmed.

Sometimes I proceed with a foaming wash, but not always. When I tone post cleansing, my cotton comes away super clean letting me know the Cleanser works against makeup. And on those days when I am not wearing a ton, Bliss Fabulous Makeup Melt Gel-To-Oil Cleanser is all I need in the cleansing step of my routine.

Wednesday On The Web

Flared Jeans on Belle Belle Beauty

I’ve been a mad woman cleaning out my closets and refreshing my wardrobe this past month. Honestly, it has grounded me and made my mornings so much easier. Plus, I have found some items in my closet I forgot I even had – embarrassing but also kinda fun. While I have been evaluating and researching spring trends, flared denim keeps popping on my radar. I think that is my next investment piece – so retro, but still fresh and elongating. I love this pair right now.

And some of my finds from around the web:

One of my most favorite beauty spots, NET-A-PORTER, is celebrating their second beauty birthday this week! Have you shopped there? Their curated brand selection is seriously stellar.

Speaking of beauty, Bobbi Brown is having their Friends and Family sale with 20% off any online purchase (no code needed) through 4/3.

I’ve started reading theSkimm every AM a couple weeks ago – I feel more up to date already!

As part of my closet re-haul, I invested in basics: these tees and more of my favorite tanks.

Some favorite finds from the last month:

ULTA’s Lorac Dazzling Dozen 2 Eye Shadow Collection

Lorac Dazzling Dozen 2 Eye Shadow Collection on Belle Belle Beauty

A little follow up from this post announcing the start of ULTA‘s twice yearly 21 Days of Beauty – I will be sharing some of my favorite products from the prize pack I am giving away below over the next couple of days. While I have always liked LORAC, it isn’t a brand that is heavy in my rotation. That all has changed now that I have my paws on their Dazzling Dozen 2 Eye Shadow Collection.

Exclusively at ULTA, the set includes twelve shadows that are silky and pigmented. I love using my fingers to play with all the wearable shades. For work, I have been wearing a wash of neutral colors from the top row. Last weekend, I added some glam with Gilded just at the center of my lids. Black Light makes for a stunning, glittery smokey eye.

Shades include (left to right):

  • Top Row: Blanc, Bone, Soft Pink
  • Second Row: Caramel, Rose, Acai
  • Third Row: Gilded, Denim, Sage
  • Bottom Row: Ecru, Storm, Black Light

Each day through 4/4, ULTA will feature a “Beauty Steal” and a “Beauty Focus Day” – Beauty Steals are special offers on top beauty products & Beauty Focus Days feature demonstrations like customized makeup lessons, expert beauty tips, and one-on-one appointments. 21 Days of Beauty brands include Stila, Urban Decay, IT Cosmetics, Bare Minerals, Benefit, Too Faced and more. Dermalogica PreCleanse

Dermalogica PreCleanse on Belle Belle Beauty

Suzie did a great job reviewing Demalogica PreCleanse over here not too long ago. In fact, she did so well that I was inspired to revisit the old favorites for another spin. While Suzie and I have different skin types, we do share a love of eyeliner and I wanted to give you a perspective as it relates to dry and sensitive skin.

While wipes are getting a small backlash lately, I still think they play a good role in a nighttime routine. I try to shy away from the “lazy” approach of just using wipes lest I leave my skin striped of moisture. The PreCleanse wipes get all my makeup off my face but somehow prep for a full wash with a nourishing oil. My eyes are usually red after makeup removal but not with PreCleanse.

I definitely reach for the wipes more often but  I also love the classic oil. I am trying to save the wipes for some upcoming travel. Both eliminate excess sebum, environmental pollutants and even waterproof makeup. And their formulas are water soluble so they work well with oilier skin.

To use the oil, I pour a small amount in my palm and apply onto my dry face. I rinse with water and the oil transforms into a milky cleanser. Voila skin is makeup-free and not one bit irritated or dry (but do take care to keep the oil away from the eyes – I can get some stinging so this is better suited for removing face as opposed to eye makeup).

Available at dermalogica.com.
