Finishing Up on Belle Belle Beauty

This AM, I finished two products during my shower. Is there any better feeling than polishing off a product and recycling the empty bottle? I think not. As a blogger, I tend to have way too many products. But lately, I am trying to pare down and I think this has brought about an even greater satisfaction with finishing up a formula. An excuse to tear into a new product and start planning for another review! So… just me? Or do you guys love this feeling too?

Some finds from around the web this week:

Love Grace’s thorough round-up of her holy grail beauty products.

This “Which-nancy-meyers-kitchen-are-you” quiz is hilarious – I got the Nor-Cal kitchen full of wine. Not shocked … AT ALL.

Love this round-up of facial mists – I adore their “Classic” pick.

boscia Sake Treatment Water to Hydrate and Brighten

boscia Sake Treatment Water to Hydrate and Brighten on Belle Belle Beauty

I admit that at first blush this looks like a very very expensive toner. But after using boscia Sake Treatment Water to Hydrate and Brighten for a couple weeks, I see the light. This treatment is much more than a toner. The water actually works to improve and empower other skincare products.

After washing my face, I pump once or twice into my hands and press onto my skin. Instantly, I can feel a hydration and detect a brighter complexion. The vitamins and minerals delivered with sake work to improve tone and texture. The scent is subtly green while the formula is ultra-light.

Vitamin B3 primes skin while Sodium Hyaluronate adds hydration. Jojoba Leaf helps to prevent free radical damage while nourishing the skin. Free of preservatives, artificial fragrance, gluten, color, and ethanol alcohol. Available at Sephora.

Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick

Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipstick on Belle Belle Beauty

I don’t even hesitate anymore to admitting to be a neutral lip lover. I favor chapstick and gloss over lipstick. But as the temps cool, I get in the mood for a little bold pick-me-up every once in a while. And no one does lipstick like Urban Decay.

This season, they are releasing a new non-drying matte lipstick that feels creamy on the lips and comes in a range of beautiful shades. The neutrals are a crowd pleaser and you can’t go wrong with the bold and velvety reds and purples.

One reason these are so stellar is Urban Decay’s proprietary Pigment Infusion System that lends to high pigment and nourishing oils. The formula contains Shea butter and a blend of avocado, olive, and babassu oils. Even my dry lips soak up the hydration and look smooth.

The sleek bullet design comes in black, distinguishing the matte formula. My favorite shades are Stark Naked and Bad Blood. Available at Sephora.

Fall Sweater on Belle Belle Beauty

Wish I had more to report this week, but been focused on health and work (see below on making my apartment a haven). Been stocking up on candles, fresh juice and my new favorite iced coffee – all make for cozy evenings and smooth-sailing morning routines. Hope you have had a great week and some finds from the web for you to enjoy:

Love these facial massage tips!

Such a sweet little dress for fall.

I feel like making my home a haven is my latest project.

Can’t wait to get my hands on these bold, gel lipsticks.

Stephanie Johnson Fall

Stephanie Johnson on Belle Belle Beauty

It is rare that I can say I favor only one brand, but when it comes to makeup bags, Stephanie Johnson is it for me. They are fashionable, durable and so functional! And there is no better time than today to stock up. Due to a move and resulting space constraints, they are unloading some inventory at 50% off! Today through Friday, October 2nd, use code ‘sixteen’ at www.stephaniejohnson.com.

Some of my favorites on the current rotation:

The Tracy Carry-All is perfect if you are hauling a larger amount of cosmetics. I also love it to transport my lunch to and from work. The durable fabric is ideal in the case of spills and the Galapagos Grey makes for a chic and sophisticated look.

The Laura Large Trapiziod is the perfect size for my daily make up. It is also large enough to fit my brushes. Tinseltown Black is my new favorite Stephanie Johnson fabric – fun but still understated.

Next on my shopping list are new goodies from the Zodiac Collection! Such a great gift idea too!

HUM Nutrition Runway Ready Supplements

HUM Nutrition Runway Ready Supplements on Belle Belle Beauty

Between some travel and summer fun (plus pure laziness), I had fallen down on my vitamin routine. And my hair and nails were showing the damage. My locks were not quite as lustrous. And my nails, frankly, were weaker than their usual strong selves.

So I incorporated HUM Nutrition’s Runway Ready formula along with a pre-natal multi. While there are no children in my near (or far) future, the pre-natal formula I’ve found gives me more energy. And the boost of Red Carpet + Killer Nails (both included in Runway Ready) amps up my hair and nail game.

Red Carpet contains GLA, ALA and Vitamin E from bio-available nutrients like black currant and sunflower seeds. The fats help add fullness and shine to hair. Along with adding a glow to skin, moisture is retained. Killer Nails contains biotin which is a water-soluble B-vitimin that boosts cell growth. Bonus points for the travel-friend packets – no excuses on the vitamin routine next time I hit the road.

Up next, I can’t wait to try out the Daily Cleanse with Organic Algae and Cleansing Minerals – perfect for the clean-living, cooking-at-home kick I am on.

The products are gluten-free, vegan and sustainably sourced. Available at Sephora.
