Kiehl’s Since 1851 ‘Dermatologist Solutions™’ Super Fluid UV Mineral Defense Sunscreen SPF 50+

This weekend was full of pool time again. And naturally I bring down my sunscreens for everyone to use. I love keeping my friends safe in the sun and getting their thoughts on products. I snagged a new Keihl’s sunscreen that had been sitting on my counter for a couple weeks. When I cracked it open, I was completely blown away! I don’t think I’ll be able to use anything else on my face all summer.

I’ve used Super Fluid UV Defense SPF 50+ religiously in the past. The newer Dermatologist Solutions™ Super Fluid UV Mineral Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ is a twist on the original but with mineral sunscreen formula. The texture is super lightweight but still nourishes my drier skin. The mineral ingredients play nice with my sensitive skin. The shade is lightly tinted which works beautifully on my light-to-medium skin tone. I have heard reviews of a whitish cast but I in no way had this issue. I love using it under makeup as a primer, especially on these sun intense summer days. Lastly, the formula contains vitamin E which can fight against damage-causing free radicals.

Splash seems to be the theme lately – I think I spent 80% of my weekend in the pool. I am most definitely a water baby. Wet Hair Care

Wednesdays are usually reserved for a little life check in and some links around here. But given my birthday celebrations and little blog break last week, I wanted to keep up with sharing some of my favorite products. If you’re like me, I love letting my hair air dry in the summer, so these wet hair care tips are on the forefront of my mind.

First up, skip your regular brush while hair is wet. Pick up a specialty brush like Conair Hook Up Detangling Brush. The soft, flexible bristles help distribute conditioner and knock out tangles. The hook-shaped handle makes it easy for shower storage. And I actually love the way it massages my scalp.

Another wet hair tool that has been in my bathroom for years is the hair towel. I am currently loving the AQUIS Lisse Luxe Hair Towel. For any hair type, this towel helps dry hair while maintaining strong, unbroken strands. I love throwing up my hair and doing the rest of my PM bed prep. And I get enough moisture out of my hair so that I am not sopping wet when I hit the sheets.

NARS Limited Edition Orgasm Blush

Many of you makeup buffs will know this iconic blush. I certainly was aware of its stellar reputation, but it wasn’t part of my routine for years. Until this summer…. when I got my hands on the biggest Orgasm yet (Original Orgasm Blush: 1.92 oz, NARS Special Edition Orgasm Blush: 3.04 oz). I have no idea why I had discounted this color for so long! I love the universally flattering shade in a creamy powder. It adds the perfect summer flush. 😉 So thrilled I have a large stockpile.
