Kiehl’s Super Multi-Corrective Cream SPF 30

Kiehl's Super Multi-Corrective Cream SPF 30 on Belle Belle Beauty

Sorry for the sporadic posting! My poor old seven year old MacBook just finally bit the dust – RIP. But I am happy to report that I am posting from my brand new, sleek MacBook Air. I love the portability. And the graphics are amazing. There are upsides to putting off an upgrade for long than usual. So pleased with the performance on this new guy!

But back to skin care – today I am happy to share with you guys a multi-tasker that will make your routine a breeze as the summer closes. The newest of the Super Multi-Corrective line at Keihl’s is a cream with SPF but also happens to be a great multi-tasker. Love that for rushed mornings. This isn’t just a moisturizer.

The formula works to correct skin with lifting, firming, sculpting and smoothing. I apply after my serum as a last step before makeup. The texture is relatively thick, but I like that it absorbs well. And I know I will need the added moisture as the temps cool.

Made in the USA. Available at Kiehls.com, and Nordstrom.

NUDE Skincare Progenius Omega Treatment Rescue Oil

NUDE Skincare Progenius Omega Treatment Rescue Oil on Belle Belle Beauty

One of my most favorite fellow beauty bloggers, A Little Bit Etc…, has been raving about NUDE Skincare forever. So I don’t know why it has taken me so long to jump on the bandwagon. But I have now, and I don’t see getting off any time soon. I can’t wait to try out the rest of the range. But for now, I will tell you about my first product from NUDE and a reason to love them on its own.

Summer doesn’t really sound like time to try out a face oil. But my dry skin loved this ultra-sheer version. My skin felt revived but not greasy. Plus, the antioxidants help out while we are subjected to summer’s rays. The antioxidants are thanks to omegas 3 and 6 and vitamin C – all great for environmental protection.

Also included in the formula is bakuchiol which works to repair and refine texture. Coleus root and rosemary helps unclog pores – something I am grateful thanks to a few blackheads that I blame on aggressive SPF application (a necessary evil).

I use about a third of a dropper and apply using the tips of my fingers. I am able to detect a very slight botanical and almost spa-like scent. After it is on my skin, I can’t smell the fragrance (which is all natural by the way). The oil soaks immediately into my skin and soothes any redness – I love applying after my evening walk.

I also appreciate that the rescue oil contains no petrolatum, synthetic color, synthetic fragrance, mineral oil, and silicones. ProGenius Omega Treatment Rescue Oil is all-natural, vegan, and cruelty-free. Made in the USA.

Available at Sephora.

Clarisonic Mia “Cocktail of Colors”

Clarisonic Mia 1 “Cocktail of Colors” on Belle Belle Beauty

No secret I love my Clarisonic. It truly has transformed the way my skin looks. Using it every day keeps my skin clean and exfoliated – and my pores stay especially clear when I am on my game. Those who aren’t yet on board likely complain that Clarisonics are a big ticket item. Or that it causes redness. So let me address some concerns.

First, make sure not to press the brush head into skin. The sonic action works on its own. Ensure you have the correct brush head for your skin type. Wash barely touching the skin. Second, the Mia is my current favorite. I love the size for summer travel and it isn’t as painful of a price-tag.

Just in time for warmer months (and a little cheer for your bathroom), Clarisonic’s “Cocktail of Colors” is a trio of adorable, vibrantly-colored Mia 1 devices. Available in Mai Tai, Lime Margarita (exclusive to Sephora) and Blue Hawaiian (exclusive to Macy’s), these lively shades perfectly capture the carefree spirit of summer.

There is one speed which makes it straightforward and compact. And clinical results have shown reduced appearance of pores, fine lines and wrinkles, as well as improved skin tone. The set includes a Clarisonic Mia 1, 1 oz. Refreshing Gel Cleanser, Sensitive Brush Head and charger for $99.

Available at Clarisonic.com (Mai Tai), Sephora (Lime Margarita), and Macy’s (Blue Hawaiian).

La Prairie Anti-Aging Rapid Response Booster

La Prairie Anti-Aging Rapid Response Booster on Belle Belle Beauty

In the interest of full disclosure, file this under luxury indulgence. But if I am going to splurge on mega-luxe skin care, you better bet La Prairie is right at the top of the wish list. I have had the pleasure of working with this brand for years, and I am always impressed with the super nourishing and gentle formulas. Their newest, La Prairie Anti-Aging Rapid Response Booster, is right along those lines and perfect for summer.

I am trying out a new retinol formula in the evenings (more on that later) but was looking for a serum step in the AM. This booster works specifically on wrinkles but I also like that there is a major hydration effect. Two pumps and some massage action – one of the things that can wake this night owl up – fights lines in just two weeks. I have used the booster for about a month and I can tell a difference. But since my lines are fairly fine, I notice more of a general radiance.

The secret is an active delivery system that dives deep. That same system also works on enlarged pores (maybe what is improving my glow). When I need to take a break from my Vitamin A routine, I am glad to know this is great in the evenings as well. My dry skin requires a moisturizer after but those with drier skin might be fine with this alone.

Korres Milk Soap

Korres Milk Soap on Belle Belle BeautyOn a cold winter day back in 2002, my friend and I were wandering New York City and popped in a Sephora to warm up. Actually, I didn’t even need to use the excuse of cold weather to duck into the beauty mecca. I love shopping at Sephora when I am in New York and always have – our store here in Tulsa is a ways from home and frankly just not quite the same. It was on that visit to Sephora years ago that I found my love for Korres.

First it was the body butters then the lip butters. More recently it was the Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial. Across the board, everything from the brand was a pleasure to use and priced well for a luxury line. And bonus for smelling delicious.

I am currently testing yet another new favorite, the Korres Milk Bar. With all the testing and trying I do, I was eager to use this mild soap as my skin can become easily irritated. And regular readers know I can’t resist a great lather. What’s special about this bar (and the entire Korres Milk line) is that it cleanses and heals. The proteins from the milk reduce inflammation. In addition, almond oil works to nourish and moisturize. The natural emollient keeps skin looking supple and young. My skin is left totally clean but still hydrated. And this bar, like all Korres products, is so beautifully packaged and make for pretty gifts.

As a side note, I had picked up the Korres Milk Greek Yoghurt Cleansing & Make-Up Removing Wipes which were a dream to use. Making a note to snag these next time I duck into Sephora.

Le Metier de Beaute CHEM60 Pro-Peel and GLOW10ai Mask Set

Le Metier de Beaute CHEM60 Pro-Peel and GLOW10ai Mask Set on Belle Belle Beauty

Le Metier always brings out a little bit of nostalgia for me. It was one of the first brands I discovered and fell for when I began my beauty blog. While the company has morphed, it is still a staple on my vanity. I have to give credit to Neiman Marcus (which is my favorite luxury beauty spot) for this outstanding luxury mask. I was down at the Dallas Northpark store when this mask first launched and was able to give it a whirl. It was so fabulous that I was very reluctant to even put on makeup for my return trip to Tulsa.

You can imagine my delight when Neiman Marcus sent over my very own Le Metier de Beaute CHEM60 Pro-Peel and GLOW10ai Mask Set to have here at home. This weekend I dove in to see if the at-home use was just as wonderful as the in-store experience. I wasn’t disappointed – my skin was left just as healthy, glowing and even as it did months ago back in Dallas.

Step one is the CHEM60 Pro-Peel. It sounds daunting, but this is one of the most gentle peels I have used. A blend of salicylic and glycolic acids works against dead skin cells. You can leave it on for as short as 60 seconds but I go for a full five minutes. My skin wasn’t red in the slightest and there was no tingling. But my skin was brighter with the dullness removed from my tone.

GLOW10ai Mask infuses skin with nourishing goodness. Antioxidants, hydration and vitamins help renew and refresh. The effect also helps with dullness and hyper-pigmentation. But my favorite part is the satisfying peel-off step when the thin sheet of gel comes off in one fantastic sheet. The GLOW10ai Mask is what really takes my complexion to a new level.

I keep the second mask on for a full 15 minutes, but you could apply Glow in a thinner layer if you are in a rush. Make sure to avoid the hairline and eyebrows in both steps. I especially appreciate the dial nozzle on the peel tube that keeps the mask fresh and separate from the brush applicator. And keeps leakage to a minimum.
