You guys know me… I love woody, amber-filled winter fragrances. But this isn’t one of them. And that’s because it is… in fact… summer. So I am embracing the triple digit weather and trading in for a summer scent. One preferably that can take me on a virtual vacation – anyone else have cabin fever right now?
Buenos Aires sounds pretty good and that is the city that inspired mark. in their latest collection. The annual summer release is always a treat and inspires me to push color boundaries. But this year encouraged me to embrace the something tropical, floral but still with those musky undertones.
Buenos Aires Vibe Eau de Toilette Spray has a fruity-floral escape filled with violet and passionfruit but layered over musk. This fragrance packs a punch but I like that it lasts all day. I like to spray and walk through the mist for a slightly muted effect. And this is a crowd-pleaser at the pool… just sayin’.

Well let’s just call it a trifecta. I have been loving the eye makeup offerings from mark lately like this one and this one. The latest eye goodie from mark that I’ve been testing is no different. mark. All Time Eye Hook Up Longwear Shadow, like the others, is long-lasting, natural looking and easy to wear (not to mention super budget-friendly).
This ultra-rich and pigmented liquid shadow as simple as a swipe. I like using one shade for a wash of color. I just swish on some color (not much) and blend with my ring finger. I get a full days wear and no creasing and – you know me… I am that girl that loves neutral shadows. So no wonder that Tender Love is my favorite with its golden glisten. The metallic finish is festive but not over the top.
Plus, I also happen to be that girl that still misses 4PM Oprah. So no wonder that I am also enthralled that this shadow is a 2014 Oprah Fall Makeup O-Wards Winner. What can I say? I share her great taste.

For the past several years, I have been lining my eyes with a pencil, focusing on definition with pigment along the waterline. I guess you could call it my signature look. But then the unthinkable happened… my favorite liner was discontinued (Note: the newer version is here – while I like it, it just isn’t the same.)
So I knew it was time to shake up my routine. As fate would have it, a liquid liner landed on my desk and it was just the push I needed to change up formulas. mark. On the Edge Hook Up Liquid Eyeliner made me a convert.
The pigment is balanced – drying quickly but allowing for touch ups. The included brush is nimble – I am able to draw both an ultra-fine line and also something thicker and more dramatic.
Rather than pungent black, I have been wearing Cleo which seems like it has a little blue and brown to temper the shade. I swipe along my lashes and allow to dry for a couple minutes. And this stuff doesn’t budge all day long! And you can’t beat the price at ten bucks.

I can’t think of a better name for these fun little lippies. Juice Gems come in a fun and sleek tube and are packed with the perfectly balanced, shiny gloss. The twist off cap reveals an angled applicator. I love that it is transparent so you are sure not to glob on too much.
Now for the fun part – channel your inner preteen. The formula is packed with the most yummy, fruity scent. The real fruit extract moisturized and conditions lips. You’ll want every shade and at 11 bucks why not?! My favorites are Snow Peach and Juicy Fig.

With all the innovation happening in the beauty world, we have no excuse to bemoan a laborious makeup routine. Today’s products make getting beautiful easy (and quick). So if you are a makeup minimalist or looking to speed up your routine, these four beauties featured this AM on Great Day Green Country will rock your world:
Anyone else addicted to lip balm? I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I reach for my pot of Nivea Lip Butter that resides on my desk. But some days, whether it be a professional engagement or a good looking Starbucks barrista, you need a little color on your lips. mark girl all butter now lip treat happens to be my perfect balance of tint and moisture. The formula contains shea, cocoa, and mango seed butters. The coverage is moderate and you’ll encounter an uplifting mango/citrus scent.
I might have mastered the at-home self tan but I can’t say I always have time (or really want) to go through the whole process of exfoliation, application and then drying. Suave Visible Glow Self-Tanning Body Lotion kills two birds with one stone: a subtle glow that is buildable while nourishing skin. Almost more preferable than regular self-tanning, you can build a glow until desired depth. And this latest crop of self-tanners doesn’t have that dreaded smell!
Contouring is all the craze and I admit to loving the chiseled look that it gives. But let’s be honest… sometimes you just don’t have time to go through all those steps. Channel your inner Goldie Hawn/Kate Hudson and go for an all over glow. Just swirl a large blush in a hybrid powder like Hard Candy Contouring Face Trio in 3rd Wheel or bareMinerals READY Face & Body Luminizer and use all over the face.
Last but certainly not least, this luxurious multi-tasker is blowing away the beauty world. YSL’s baby doll Kiss & Blush is perfect for on the go (or when you just don’t want to dig through for two products). The unique doe foot applicator with a roller ball coats lips with a matte pop of color. I use my finger to apply on my cheeks to waken the complexion.
I totally fangirl-ed when I was on air right after Hanson. I didn’t listen to them growing up (I’m too old) but they were so charming and cute!

The last throws of summer call for something beachy. And so I am gobbling up the Coconut Treat collection from mark. I’ve already gotten tons of compliments on the scent (guys love it!). The blend is totally tropical with coconut water and mandarin layered with hazelnut and coconut cream. The culinary spiciness also makes it great to transition into fall! The collection includes:
Hand It Over Super Moisture Hand Cream in Coconut Treat
Get Misty Coconut Treat Body Mist (hydrated and leaves the perfect amount of fragrance)
Whipped Up Coconut Treat Body Butter (all day hydration)
Sheen Stealer Coconut Treat Dry Oil Body Spray
I’m also loving the 3-in-1 cleanser in Coconut Treat, although it appears to be sold out on line. You can use these as a body wash, bubble bath or gentle daily-use shampoo and they all leave behind a delicate scent. There are lots of other fragrances available in this multi-talented body wash here. Shop the Coconut Treat collection here.
