Until I get the winter paleness under control, I will be trying to rock springy, stylish pieces like this. And it doesn’t hurt that I am loving the sneaker trend for weekends. Check out Shopbop (their Friends and Family Sale with 25% off is in full swing) for loads of options. This week I am layering very gentle self tanners on my whiter-than-normal skin to build up just a hint of color (so I don’t blind people). I’ll report back soon on my favorites. Meanwhile, loads of things happening as we get into the swing of April:
Need a little spring fling? Stop by your local L’Occitane store tomorrow to get a personalized session with one of our beauty experts. Enjoy sips and snacks while they curate a unique, head-to-toe pampering “beauty cocktail” treatment designed exclusively for you. Shoppers who spend $55 or more will take home their own cocktail kit with 3 mini skin-and-body care favorites of choice!
And speaking of celebrating, April is Earth Month! This month, 100% of proceeds from every Kiehl’s Limited Edition Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado will benefit Recycle Across America throughout this month. This eye cream is one of their most popular staples – perfect excuse to stock up. I have the Nikki Reed limited edition and it looks so great on my vanity!
And some finds from around the web:
My new favorite lip balm – who knew I’d love Milk and Honey so much?
Harper’s Best Beauty Vitamins.
I love the idea of a Breakfast Board!
I want to gobble up the whole line of Herbivore Botanicals.
Make sure to note on your calendars the official L’OCCITANE holiday kickoff on Thursday! Stores will be offering complimentary mini-facials, hors d’oeuvres and champagne – who could resist! Spend $65 and you’ll receive two travel-size products from our new macaron-inspired collaboration with Pierre Hermé. Swing by as the festivities will be happening all day. More info here.
Just a quick update today in honor of Dad’s Day this weekend. Thought I would pop in and share an idea for those guys we are celebrating this weekend including my favorite person in the entire world, Dad. While no one is more supportive of the blog, I am guessing he doesn’t check this spot regularly so I am going to share what he’s getting on Sunday.
Recently I covered some new releases from L’Occitane and you probably know it is a long-time staple brand here at Belle Belle Beauty. Their new-to-me collection, Cade, is made from Prickly juniper grown in Provençe. This masculine scent is the inspiration of a L’Occitane’s formula used in men’s skincare and shaving needs. I cracked the gift set I picked out for him and this scent is so beautiful but not too delicate and just subtle enough. I know their shower gels and soaps are amazing. And I can’t wait to report on Dad’s thought on the EDT.
The Cade Star Gift includes:
- Cade Eau de Toilette 3.4 fl.oz
- Cade Reinvigorating Shower Gel 3.4 fl.oz
- L’Occitan Pebble Soap 3.5 .oz

I’m kind of in a nervous state due to this drought in California. Not only is it a state I call (one of my many) homes, but I have an Alma Mater and many friends and family that actually live there. I’ll be doing a rain dance but in the meantime, I am also worried about my beloved almonds. California is the source of many – maybe most – of the almonds Americans nosh on every day.
Without surprise, my almond obsession spills over to my beauty obsession. And it was many years ago I first fell for L’OCCITANE Almond Hand Soap (which I sadly cannot find anymore). So when I got a chance to try out the new Almond Velvet Youthful Body Serum and Balm, I was elated.
The serum is truly unique – the concentrated formula contains nourishing almond with vitamin C to heal and energize skin. It hydrates but doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. Skin is left velvety smooth. I can’t think of a better moisturizer for summer. The balm is a heavier cream that soothes skin – but it still sinks into skin quickly leaving a powdery finish. I prefer using this at night and might just be the ticket after a day at the pool.
Also new from L’OCCITANE is the Divine Immortelle 28 Day Renewal Program. I was new to the Divine collection and quickly fell for the Divine Youth Oil – gentle and plumping aka everything you could ask for in a face oil. The Renewal Program took a little more time to review and digest. Over four weeks, I used specifically designed seven capsule strips. The process is crafted for renewal and exfoliation. The capsules are generous in size and I was able to cover my face, neck and decolletage. At the end of the month, I found my skin clearer, refreshed, less red and calmed. It definitely made a difference in my no-makeup experiment. Well worth it to infuse skin with ingredients like Rosemary and Carrot. And bonus points for an (accidental) accountability system to make sure skin care is part of your daily routine.

Sorry for the brevity of today’s post! Not too much new to report around here except for my continuing need for glowing skin. This look above is so healthy and luxe. I am trying out this new facial oil and so far, each day I am getting a longer-lasting glow and hydrated skin. Stay tuned for the full update! In the meantime, some finds from around the web this week:
