I really like the concept of this line. The whole line is free of sulfates which initially led me to buy the EverStrong line. The EverStrong worked okay for me, but when I realized they had an EverSleek available, I was on off to the drugstore. I have fine hair, but lots of it, and in the winter it can get really unruly (read: frizzy) in the back. I am not sure if it is the lack of silicon, but this doesn’t weigh my hair down like other smoothing products. Argan, olive and sunflower oils are used to smooth. Without even blow-drying, my hair is smooth and bouncy. There isn’t much of a fragrance, which I like in a shampoo, but I’ll overlook it because this stuff really works.

Rene Furterer Myrrhea Anti-Frizz Silkening Mask
I cannot stand drying my hair. Really, I am so lazy about using a blowdryer. So, my hair usually ended up on a bun. But.. Eureka! I have found a way to tame my “air dry” frizz and now I wear my long locks down fairly often (a bun will always have a place in my heart). At night, I wash my hair and use the Silkening Mask, towel dry and go to sleep. In the morning, my hair is wavy, smooth, full of body and not the least bit frizzy! This could become addicting.

Phyto Phytodefrisant
I just don’t get what all the fuss is about. When I moved from SF to Austin, years ago, I was welcomed with an unfamiliar frizz. My new stylist recommended Phyto Phytodefrisant Botanical Hair Relaxing Balm Anti-Frizz and I willingly handed over the cash. Even after I threw the first tube away in frustration, I bought it AGAIN a couple of years later. That tube, still mostly full, sits in isolation in the bottom on my bathroom drawer. Its headed for the trash. That’s it. It leaves my hair sticky and coarse. I can’t really say it dramatically changes the state of my frizz. It feels gross when I apply it to my hair. I have tried using less, using more, everything. I am turning my attention to a Keratin treatment now.
Drugstore Dry Shampoo
I am terrible at giving myself a blow out. It never comes even close to what a professional can do. So I would do everything in my power to make that professional blow out stretch a couple of days. My search for the best dry shampoo has covered the globe and price ranges. So, I was thrilled to see the positive reviews and Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo and Waterless Foam. Don’t bother running out to the drugstore though. The dry shampoo left my hair feeling some version of brittle. I still had hope for the waterless foam which I tried a couple weeks later. It made my hair sticky. So, save your money and buy some baby powder… still what I find to work the best.
